  • Wed 17th Jul 2024
  • 11:30-01:30
  • Outside King's College Porter's Lodge, on King's Parade, Cambridge CB2 1ST

For subscription-paying members only. This visit is not suitable for those with restricted mobility.

Former CSAR President David Adamson has offered to lead a visit for us up onto the roof of King's College Chapel, to see from above the architecture of one of the world's great buildings, and to view the new solar panel installation. He will give us a short summary of why and how the chapel was built, then in turn take two small groups up to the roof.

The finishing time is a bit uncertain, but if convenient we can find somewhere for lunch together afterwards.

Tickets cost £10 per person, and you can book via Bookwhen.

King's College Chapel is the chapel of King's College in the University of Cambridge. It is considered one of the finest examples of late Perpendicular Gothic English architecture.
