You can book for in-person attendance at Bookwhen, where you will also find the link for Zoom viewing.
Manufacturing produces the goods and products that drive economic growth, security and quality of life. However, the industry faces numerous challenges and opportunities in areas such as sustainability, global supply chains, demographics and novel manufacturing processes. This talk will discuss how artificial intelligence (AI) could address many of the challenges faced by the manufacturing industry, for instance, by increasing efficiency, precision, and adaptability. It will include specific examples of AI applications in automation and quality control, and offer insights into best practices for AI integration. In addition, the talk will discuss some recent work from the speaker's research group to highlight future directions in the area.
